Hey, y'all! I know, blast from the past. But I have to ask -- WHAT did you all think of Ian Somerhalder's directorial debut? Last night's episode, "The Downward Spiral," was the actor's first chance to direct.
CAUTION: While there will not be spoilers about the episode in the journal itself, they may be in the comments, just so you're forewarned.
Personally, I don't think he did a very good job. I'd certainly be willing to give him another chance, but the camera angles and lighting that were chosen just did not do the show justice. Everything that happened in the bar in the last seven minutes was horrible, and not because of what happened. Ian does the snark and banter very well, but I'm not so sure of his directing skills. But again, this is my personal opinion. I want to know what YOU think. Or, if you didn't know Ian was directing before you watched it, did you see a difference? Did you notice the changes? Tell me, Dear Deviaries; what are your thoughts?
