*taking the shiny shot* Uhh, that was a hard one! We see flashy red lights everywhere and… is this Patti Smith singing in the background? We see a hot vampire staggering down the streets – of NewYorkCity! OMG, it’s DamonSalvatore! What the…!? … OH! It’s a FLASHBACK SCENE! Now we got it and can sit back, enjoying the smell of the 70th. Ruthless Damon is crashing down the streets of NY, tasting various veins as he stumbles into a well known face: Lexi Seeing HER back again (who got killed by DAMON) caresses my heart *sighs* and alarms me. What’s going to happen between the two of them?? . The blonde beauty who is called to play GuardianAngel for literally staggering vampires was sent by Stefan. It happens that Damon can’t shake off his new shadow and accepts her constant company through the nights. They seem to share everything: the party, the hunt and even one night. The idea that they might have a thing going on is very new and fascinating … But the wild love doesn’t even last for a SEC as Damon betrays her while leaving her locked up on a roof – at fully shiny sunlight! :faints: And that’s the point where our POV changes, the plot rushed back to the future, where Damon and Elena are dandering down the streets of nowadays NY. He brought her here to have some fun. She joined him to have some fun. Both are playing each other as Damon still looks after the Cure and as Elena just bides her time to impede this ever to happen. But in the meanwhile, they party, they hunt – all in company with good old Original Rebekah who feels obliged to be everywhere where possibly just could be the Cure. She intends to be with TeamElena: get the Cure and don’t give it to Elena. The latter refuses first: No, thanks, your nostalgic wish about being human, having a family and life is way too emotional for her new lifestyle - and annoying too! Her opinion changes when Rebekah comes to snap Damon’s neck when this one insists to get Elena healed etc etc etc… The episode ends with Elena and Rebekah getting into Damon’s car (they just want to “borrow” it as they “borrowed” the information that Damon got about the location of the Cure aka Katherine’s place) and riding into the sunset. Rebekah and Elena as new BFFs? Yeah, that’s going to happen…!


This flashback & NY shooter was good, wasn’t it?  I could do with another one… What? You got hungry now? Just sit back, open your mouth widely and take a huge fork of ”American Gothic”.
So……….. Rebekah and Elena are riding out of the sunset into an absolutely ordinary looking little town: Willoughby (Was it Willoughby? Oh yeah, me too, I already forgot about the name ). They’ve changed the car: Damon’s car was far too lame for our new rock stars. They are on the lookout for Katherine who has the Cure. They experience that Katherine seems to have compelled the entire town ( What a paranoid but impressing action! Must have taken a while!) When they find her, we see a little fight between Katherine & the NewBFFs. OMG, since I’ve seen the promo, I was so excited to see some KatFight. But the fight… is… way to short! The new BFFs overcome the evil KatBitch and hold her to start the questioning in a dark, muddy and cold… coffee shop!?? Wasn’t there any REAL dark place in that town? :boring:… Instead of some real nice physical KatFight, we get at least some really cool verbal bitching Elena-x-Rebekah VS Katherine! This is almost  an equal substitute for the physical fight that I had expected. Very intense, very funny, easy talk, I love how Rebekah + Elena are building up a new front. They are great The new BBFs get to know about a meeting that Katherine is going to have, right in a minute, with a mysterious “EM” (Uhh, did you had this allusion about JamesBond here, too!? ). What a great coincidence to be a doppelganger if you want to know more about KatherinePierce’s plans! Bitchy Elena has no problems to change the roles and take over Katherine attitude.  She’s just as demanding as Katherine used to be: gets her make-up and hair done; she imitates are bitchy talk; takes over Kat’s jacket and “Your shoes, I want you shoes!” Katherine’s protest but has no chance as the other girls are visibly on the majority In here, Elena acts a lot like Buffy in S3E14 Bad Girls (“Life for a Slayer is very simple -- want... take... have." [link]). After all, it must have been real fun to do these scenes for Nina Anyway, that way, Elena gets to meet EM – ending up in EM’s arms, hugging and kissing and… OMG, did you realize that this is Elijah!?? My heart almost explodes: Elijah’s back! … and he’s kissing Elena!! WTF! He welcomes his beloved Katerina (*purrrrr* My cat starts purring at the way he pronounced her name Why does my name has no R? I’ve never felt ANY affection for that guy but… Puh, is it hot in here!?? ). Meanwhile, the Salvatore Bros Stefan & Damon arrive in… What was this towns name again? looking for Damon’s car and the girls. The new alliance between these two, next to the bitchy alliance, is very comfortable When they arrive at the CoffeeShop where Rebekah babysits Katherine – I wonder if the girls have switched their seats!?? Katherine enjoys the moment she reveals her special “friendship” between her and EM aka Elijah. After the other three have puked into their cups by disgust, the Bros see through this “friendship” very quickly: Elijah is just a tool to get securely near to Klaus, she has always been running from. The Cure is her option to buy her freedom back from the HybridOriginal. While Damon blackmails Katherine to keep quiet about the fake-friendship with Elijah and gets her to her place to get the Cure, Stefan starts searching his exElena who’s still in Elijah’s arms. He just manages to call the Original who has unmasked the doppelganger long ago. Elijah wants to know where Katherine’s held and Stefan wants Elena back amongst them. After their talk, Elena starts getting bored. She can’t stand being between two self-called heroes, searching for their beloved girls that they once used to know. Elijah asks her honestly, searching for their former relation: “What a man would I be if I wouldn’t try my best to find my Katerina behind this Katherine facade?” (*purring again* - OMG, What a man!! ) But he discovers quickly that Elena is not just a vampire; she has changed, is not herself. Elena answers emotionless that she has no reasons to keep her feelings: her brother has been killed – by Katherine. As fast as he is shocked about Katherine’s lies to him, she appears from the dark and snaps Elena’s neck (There are a lot snapped necks lately, aren’t there?). She has escaped from Damon and Rebekah who were shaking down her home for the Cure. It seemed to be hidden in a box in a tank – filled with vervain water – that’s how she knocked out our credulous Damon. Let’s talk: wasn’t it obvious that the tank was full of vervain water!?? Clever, but obvious. However, on her run, she stumbled into Rebekah’s arms. The blonde got to catch the Cure while Katherine’s escaped – right to snap that doppelganger neck. But, oh, you should see Rebekah’s eyes– the eyes of an admiring insane, right in heaven. She’s holding the Cure, her way to get the life she desires, a violet liquid in a glass vial – that somehow looks like a tampon *uww* It’s a shocking moment, when she opens the vial, bring it to her lips and drinks – right in front of our, Damon’s and Stefan’s eyes. I have never seen a more desperate man than StefanSalvatore in that very moment. Now, Elena is doomed to stay a vampire for the rest of her life. Damon is less heart-broken and rather sees the advantages: Blondie is now human. Best moment to get rid of her and he throws a letter knife right into her face! She catches it that fast that we can hardly see what had happened. But we and all characters know what that means: she’s still a creature of the night with hyper speed reflexes, still a vampire. The Cure was fake. for Stefan for Rebekah: and for Damon who’s still fighting with Human & Vampire Elena. You can decide on your own which team you’re on The end is easy: Katherine tries to convince Elijah to trust her, to believe in her feelings, no more lies. As proof, she hands over the REAL Cure (is it the real Cure?). Rebekah begs him to hand it over: it’s time to choose and walk the path of life SHE wants to take, not which her brother chooses for her. Elijah has no time to answer as both are interrupted by a phone call (damn cells!): Klaus subject annoys us, ‘cause it’s all the same: Elena, we’ll help you just as YOU were and would be helping us. We’ll cure you and bring you back a happy human life. Are you rolling your eyes? Yes? Well, that’s what our NewElena does and she underlines it with blood: Just try to switch or cure me one more time and I’ll kill… *snapping the waitress’ neck* plenty people like this. Waaaaaaaa, one more neck snap She leaves the scene in her super short mini dress, crossing her looong legs, leaving both Bros jaw dropped in that calm, peaceful and perfect little town, called… I forgot. American Gothic.

Well, as always, there’s a sub plot going on: this time Klaroline in Klaus’s living room. Must have been a juicy sub plot for all Joseph Morgan fans as that guy is half-naked the entire episode He’s screaming and fighting his own body. A piece of the oak tree stake has been brought near his heart by Silas and Klaus is trying EVERYTHING to get that thing out. Literally. He’s breaking his bones, cutting his flesh. It’s disgusting. He calls Caroline for help. She’s not pleased, but starts helping cutting of his flesh, fiber by fiber. Of course, they talk: he mourns, she yells. Finally, she’s fed up and wonders why she’s actually helping: Klaus has tried to kill every one of them and he’s still after her boyfriend, Tyler. She starts what she can do best: manipulating him. If he wants her help, he has to let Tyler life first. She’s very sassy, checking her mails in her smart phone while Klaus is dying in pain Want, take, Have They start arguing, as always, that little old couple. Can you feel the tension? Is it too high? When will this tension be released one day!?? Not today… *sighs* But Klaus’s pain come to end through their fighting. Silas got into his head, there has never been a piece of the stake in his body. Next to the fear of what Silas else can do to them, Klaus’s doesn’t miss, naturally, to thank Caroline. Klaus: “Friends?” – Caroline “Are you gonna let Tyler back into town?” – Klaus: “…” Dough! :headslam: Klaus, that was one second too long…

And again some nice quotes and thoughts, just not to forget them:
Elena: “Did I mention that I can’t stand the sound of your voice?” - Rebekah: “Too bad. We’re not done.” Oh, I’ve to keep this quote to shout it at my boyfriends head one day when he gets annoying – again
Rebekah, examining, Elena’s new KatStyle: “not quite slutty enough”
Damon: “Elena without humanity is a stone-cold bitch.” Or even better: “I don’t care what Elena wants right now. She’s this close to going off the rails for good and that ain’t happening. She’s a pain enough as it is.”
Caroline to Klaus, after he thinks she’s Silas: “I’m haunting YOU? I don’t know if this is some new way of flirting but it sucks.”
Caroline digging in Klaus’s martyred back for the oak tree stake piece: “Oh, yes, you do have a heart.”


I expected something very different about that episode, VERY different, but I think we can be satisfied any way: Elijah & Katherine are back. Elijah has some sexy accent and they have (or had?) a thing going on. The Cure is found – yet in the hands of Elijah. And Elena is going to be our new ripper. Many stuff to speculate. Let’s talk, if you can’t wait till Thursday
