Season 4 Episode 3 “The Rager”

Can you believe in the beginning of the show they have a voice over of Klaus saying, “...and even hybrids.” Klaus lovers clap your hands. I think Klaus is a permanent fixture!

Connor is on the hunt. I don't think he knows Tyler is a hybrid, pumping him with werewolf venom. The Salvator brothers are still fussing over sharing Elena's blood. Elena's feeding off of Matt (the feeding bag), but that takes a bad turn further on into the show. The mighty Klaus has Tyler in curfew with the hybrid bodyguards. Rebekah and Elena have it out. Stefan observing, students gone and Rebekah making pencil target practice out of Elena is insane. I tell you, we got a hissing cat fight (oh, I'm sorry), vampire fighting between the two. Did you see Elena's teeth glaring at Rebekah. That is an eye full for all of us in the beginning.
Ahhhh, did anyone notice the new girl (werewolf) on the block. Yep, we have a possible ex for Tyler and a doghouse waiting for him once Caroline finds out. Are you ready for the impact! I'm not, I really enjoyed the sweet and romantic interlude between Tyler and Caroline. Such is life.

Damon, his pride, and being stuck in a RV with arrows in him rigged to set a bomb off. Simple poetry! Damon belongs in the doghouse because he's stuck in his pride (not in the RV). Gorgeous man!
Between Connor setting up our favorite vampires to drink werewolf vermon and having Jeremy give enough info to hang himself. I find this setup a bit of entertainment.
Klaus and his mighty conspiracies has increased. He now knows Tyler has a secret girl on the side without Caroline knowing. Maybe, just maybe he has a foot in Caroline's door with this leverage. Ahhh, Tyler just might make it to the doghouse... or will Klaus be in there with him?

Ohhhh, Rebekah is on the rampage. She literally stole the day ring off of Elena, threw it down the sink, and turned on the garbage disposal. But what I like about The Vampire Diaries is the conscience of these characters and consequences. Hey, did anyone enjoy Rebekah's hallucination of Matt pointing out her weakness of being unloveable, she ripping out his heart only to find it all meant something. For me, that was a growth experience for Rebekah and she even reacted from it being grateful for April's help.
The greatest setup is not when Damon and Jeremy fooled Connor with the same arrow & bomb situation, but when Klaus saved Connor without Damon or Jeremy knowing.

Then we have the steamy scene of Stefan and Elena, with Elena hallucinating Damon loving her too. Hmmmm.... I wonder Defelena's or Stefelena's is this a setup of what we'll get during Season 4?
Klaus needed Elena's blood and now Elena needs Klaus's blood to counteract the werewolf venom. What a setup.

There is a deeper setup of Stefan's fear of becoming the ripper, crippling him to enjoy all the vampire's supernatural bliss that Elena's experiencing. What a sad setup. But the wonderful thing is the buddy system between Stefan and Caroline. I loved how he asked her to watch over him.
Last but not least, hehehehe, Elena just can't get enough from Matt. He has no power to stop her, but Damon does. Now the bad guy setup has turned good guy for saving Matt's life. Elena has to graduate from Vampire Kindergarten...in other words, Damon will teach her to be a vampire.
Biggest setup, Connor is worth more alive than dead to Klaus. Connor is the most well-protected vampire hunter in town—and that is dealing with the mysterious mark on his arm.
